On the last Sunday of each liturgical year, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, or Christ the King.

Pope Pius XI instituted this feast in 1925 with his encyclical Quas primas, in response to growing secularism and atheism.

Jesus Christ ‘is the truth itself, and it is from him that all humanity must obediently receive the truth’ (Quas primas, 7).

Our Mother of Salvation said on 23 December 2013:

'You must be prepared to live according to the Truth and never succumb to accepting the lies that will be spread throughout the world and the new world religion that will soon be declared. When you see these things happening, be assured that the time of the Second Coming of the One True Saviour, Jesus Christ, the King of mankind, is drawing near."

Let us all unite in prayer to pay homage to the King of Kings and defend His Truth at all times.
